Why is it so hard to get started with my business?

There is a significant amount of research that has been conducted on the difficulties of starting a business. Some common challenges that have been identified include:

  1. Lack of capital: Access to capital is often cited as one of the biggest challenges for new businesses. This can include both financial capital (e.g. money to fund operations) and human capital (e.g. expertise and skills).

  2. Limited resources: Many new businesses have limited resources, including time, money, and personnel, which can make it difficult to get off the ground.

  3. Competition: New businesses often face competition from established companies, which can make it difficult to gain a foothold in the market.

  4. Regulation: There are often a number of regulations that businesses need to comply with, which can be a challenge for new businesses that are still learning the ropes.

  5. Finding and retaining customers: Acquiring new customers and retaining existing ones can be a major challenge for new businesses.

  6. Managing finances: Proper financial management is critical for the success of any business, and this can be especially difficult for new businesses that are still trying to establish themselves.

  7. Lack of experience: Many new business owners have little or no experience in entrepreneurship, which can make it difficult to navigate the challenges of starting and running a business.

Despite these challenges, it is possible for new businesses to overcome them and achieve success with hard work, persistence, and the right resources.
